Brookside Square is a five-acre, 126,000 sf mixed-use development site.

This complex is positioned adjacent to West Concord’s main commercial district, a commuter rail station, Nashoba Brook and a future “rails to trails” bike path. The multi-use development features 74 luxury apartments: studios, 1- to 2-bedroom units on the building’s upper floors, and 36,000 sf of first-class commercial space below.

The commercial space is designed to attract businesses that will cater to the Brookside Square residents, including empty nesters looking to downsize and young professionals seeking a work-live-play environment.

The project is located at the base of the Assabet River, with an extremely high water table. TOCCI underwent extensive structural analyses and pricing exercises to manage risk and dewatered the table several feet to construct the foundations.

Subsequently, the building structure was designed to resist hydrostatic pressure.
