Tocci Recognized by WBA as its 2018 Business of the Year

Tocci has been honored by the Woburn Business Association as its 2018 Business of the Year!
The award, which recognizes a local business that invests in the community and is committed to employee satisfaction, charitable giving and wellness, was presented to John and Lila Tocci by Heather Maguire, Executive Director, WBA, during their annual The Value of Community celebration. Of Tocci she said:
Tocci is an exceptional presence in the community in many ways. Their preservation and restoration of the historic Guastavino Tile Factory demonstrates their appreciation for the architecture and history of the building and is a true hidden gem in the city. Community is integral to who Tocci is as a corporation, whether that is hosting in-house wellness activities, sharing CSA vegetables among their employees, or seeking ways to support the communities in which they build, live, and value.

In accepting the award, Lila Tocci, Director of Company Life, shared that giving enables Tocci and its employees to really connect to the local Woburn community, known for its involved citizens, and all communities where the company builds.
At Tocci, wellness goes beyond employee and company health and welfare to community health and welfare. Tocci takes pride in being a local Woburn business, and is greatly honored by this recognition.

Tocci and its employees, through its Wellness Committee, donate funds annually to the Woburn Council for Social Concern during Thanksgiving time and sponsor a local family each holiday season. Other Charitable events include an annual blood drive with Boston’s Children’s Hospital and volunteering at Mission of Deeds, Cradles to Crayons, and Habitat Boston.
The WBA is a nonprofit organization that helps businesses and its members negotiate the public forums, public agencies and overcome the plights of dealing with public officials. WBA leadership and board members speak on behalf of current members as well as businesses coming into the community to help them navigate the politics, procedures and town departments they will be confronted with.
