Tocci Breaks Ground on 66,000 sf Apartment Building in Secaucus, NJ

Woburn-based firm to provide construction management services for the 62-unit development
WOBURN, MA (July 15, 2015) – Tocci Building Companies (Tocci), a Boston-area construction management company and recognized leader in virtual design and construction solutions, announced today that it has broken ground on a 66,294 square-foot (sf) apartment development located at 34 Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus, NJ.
Situated alongside the Hackensack River near Route 3, the facility will consist of a three-story, wood-framed, 62-unit apartment building with a project cost totaling $9,500,000. Tocci will work closely with developers Hartz Mountain Industries, Inc., on behalf of property owner 34 Meadowlands Parkway, LLC. Notably, this project marks the third collaboration between Tocci and Hartz Mountain Industries, Inc., having previously partnered on successful developments including the luxury apartment community at 45 Meadowlands Parkway.

The project team for 34 Meadowlands Parkway includes architects Studio 5 Partnership, structural engineers Reuther + Bowen, MEP engineers Omdex Incorporated, and civil engineers Menlo Engineering. Throughout the design process, Tocci utilized an open-book approach to accurately share all project information and options. Additionally, the construction process will involve lean building practices to efficiently transform an abandoned lot into an upscale riverfront rental community.
