Tocci’s Construction at Coppersmith Village Moves Ahead Smoothly

Tocci’s work on Coppersmith’s midrise progresses as planned.

Rough MEPs are wrapping up in the South tower, and insulation with firestopping and ISD inspections will follow. Sheetrock is up on the 5th floor and gypcrete is scheduled for this week. Tocci‘s superintendent says finishes will follow immediately, and the entire operation will move down through the South tower in May. In the North tower rough plumbing and fire sprinklers are complete and signed off, and pre-rock and above ceiling electrical work is 50% complete on the floors. We will start hanging ceiling drywall on the 5th floor this week to allow below-ceiling duct work and electrical to begin working their way down through that building.

On the exterior, the CMU exterior walls in the garages are complete and brick façade work will start this week on the South end of the building. Nichiha siding is being delivered, and they are on site now doing preparatory work to start installing panels.

At the townhouses, the framing is moving along with all three floors erected at the first nine units. Roof truss install on these units started this week, and non-weathertight MEP work will begin after trusses and roof sheathing are installed in mid-May.
