Tocci purchased the decaying Guastavino Tile Factory in 1998 — nearly 40 years after operations ceased.
The building underwent a historic restoration to preserve the aesthetics and original tiles found at the old factory. Now home to our corporate headquarters, Guastavino has become a part of Tocci. Guastavino, known for his tile arch, vault, dome, and spiral staircase designs, would have turned 173 on March 1st. In honor of his birthday, we’re looking at some of his famous buildings across the U.S.
