Tocci once again sponsors BMC’s SPARK Center fundraiser, organized by the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club.

Last Saturday, July 18, Tocci Building Corporation once again sponsored Boston Medical Center’s SPARK Center fundraiser organized by the Boston Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. In spite of the searing heat, over a hundred motorcyclists joined the commemorative ride which began at Florian Hall in Dorchester, proceeded to the gravesite of former firefighter and Buffalo Soldier Phinazee “Buddy” Brown south of the city, and returned to SPARK headquarters in Mattapan for lunch.

If you knew Buddy, he was a gentle giant and a caring person. If you look at the SPARK Center and how they treat the children, that defines Buddy.

During the opening ceremony John Tocci, CEO of Tocci Building Corporation offered a matching challenge to all present. He said Tocci is committed to supporting SPARK because of the positive outcomes and dedicated staff who care deeply for the young children they serve.

Dana Smith, president of Boston’s Buffalo Soldiers, said the annual ride has raised more than $70,000 for SPARK.
