The Tocci name is at it again!

Last year, Tocci’s director of virtual design and construction, Laura Handler, was a recipient (and youngest at that) of Building Design and Construction magazine’s 40 Under 40 award for her contribution to the field in regards to BIM and VDC. Now a year later, the Tocci name is back on the list with John Tocci’s son, John Tocci, Jr., taking home the prestigious recognition, as well as the title of the youngest recipient for 2011.

John is the virtual construction manager at Western Region Gilbane Co. in Phoenix, AZ. He is an extremely active member in the field, not just under Gilbane’s roof, but also through his extracurricular participation as a founding member of the BIMforum organization. His use of BIM and virtual construction in the industry are integral to the wider movement that is transforming the building world. We are very proud of this accomplishment and are looking forward to the waves he’ll be making, along with the other 39 recipients of this year’s award.
