Day of Giving at Tocci

Tocci employees look up for photo as they enjoy food

One of the many great things about working for Tocci is the Company Life and Giving initiatives that are in place for all employees.

From the garden to group exercise sessions, healthy food options in the LEANBOX, and “stress-less” activities, Tocci has a wide range of company life initiatives. In any given week there is an event happening to promote overall employee wellness. One of the giving initiatives that Tocci promotes is the opportunity to donate time to a nonprofit organization.

During orientation, employees are informed that as part of the giving program at Tocci, they are encouraged to take a “Day of Giving” twice each calendar year. This “Day of Giving” means each employee can submit a request for a day off to volunteer or participate in an event with a nonprofit of their choice. In addition to the organizations Tocci supports and is involved with throughout the year, this is a great opportunity for employees to get involved with charities that mean a lot to them personally.

A message from Tia:

This year I took my “Day of Giving” to spend at the Mike Patterson Invitational Golf Tournament, put together by the Mike Patterson Foundation to support cancer research by raising money for the Jimmy Fund. I helped the Mike Patterson team, led by his son Timmy Patterson, organize the morning check-in and make sure all the golfers who came out to support the cause had a great day. This is the third year I had the opportunity to get involved with the tournament. It was great to have the support and encouragement of my company to participate in a charity event that was special to me.

In past years other employees have used their “Day of Giving” to participate in Mission of Deeds, Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk, Cradles to Crayons, and Community Connect to Benefit the Massachusetts Hospital School to name a few.
