honeycomb pattern with circuit background

A startup company out of Israel has recently developed honeycomb-shaped solar panels, which can be built into facades to produce energy.

The panels are made from acrylic and are thought to be able to produce up to 140 watts of electricity per square meter when positioned properly on a building. They’re currently researching ways to make this a more viable commercial option for seamless integration into mid and high-rise facades. Read more about it here!

**Shameless sustainability plug** — We’ll take this opportunity to point out our Abbot Mill renovation project. Owner Chris Yule will be implementing an entire roof of solar panels totaling a colossal 55,000 sq ft (approx.), in an attempt to make Abbot Mill a more environmentally friendly project overall.
