Each year Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston presents the American Dream Award to individuals who contribute to the improvement of the Greater Boston community.

Companies are invited to sponsor this event to raise funds for Habitat Greater Boston’s effort to build affordable homes in partnership with deserving, low-income families. This year, Tocci Building Companies sponsored a table.

The 2015 American Dream Awards breakfast took place on April 29th with 300 attendees. A few of Tocci’s team members, Lila Tocci, Bud LaRosa, and Maria Pelaggi, were able to attend the event that honored Robert Gallery, President of Bank of America Massachusetts, and Chrystal Kornegay, Undersecretary of Housing and Community Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Lila was especially touched by one of the speakers, Jamal, a young man whose father was a Habitat Homeowner. Everyone was moved by his heart-warming reflection on the safety and stability of having a home to grow up in and thrive in. It is stories like these that keep us building day after day.

Habitat Greater Boston is celebrating 25 years of service in helping families realize their dream of homeownership and Tocci is proud to contribute to this wonderful organization.
