3 Journal Square Apartments

Urban Living, Seamlessly Connected

TOCCI delivered a 17-story mixed-use development in the heart of Journal Square. The 219,500 sf steel structure includes 240 upscale apartments, ground-floor retail, and resident amenities—all built atop an active parking garage.

Mastering the Urban Puzzle

Nestled above an active parking garage and bounded by rail lines and urban infrastructure, the 3 Journal Square site presented complex logistical challenges. TOCCI responded by developing a seven-phase logistics sequencing plan, deploying BIM-driven prefabrication and site laser scanning to validate existing geometry and seamlessly coordinate construction in tight quarters.

Green Roof + Sustainable Features

TOCCI oversaw the installation of a green roof, contributing to the building’s sustainability goals and aesthetic appeal. The project also included eco-friendly charging stations for residents’ electric vehicles. 3 Journal Square is LEED Silver Certified.

"This doesn’t happen easily. This was basically pioneers, coming to Journal Square. There’s an atmosphere here that appeals to a cross-section of people, and we’ve enhanced that with a building that promotes a modern living experience.”
