Crosstown Reimagined
Following Boston Medical Center’s 2018 acquisition of the Crosstown Center, the facility has undergone a phased redevelopment to support the hospital’s expanding outpatient services. This project was part of a 6-year, multi-phased IPD project throughout the majority of the Crosstown building.
Smart Walls, Healthier Spaces
To help Boston Medical Center deliver compassionate care in a modern, efficient clinic environment, TOCCI integrated modular KI wall systems that sped up construction, improved acoustics, and supported infection control.
IPD: Built on Trust, Delivered Ahead of Schedule
This 7th floor Outpatient Pediatrics Clinic is part of a 6-year, multi-phased project throughout the majority of the Crosstown building and was delivered using Integrated Project Delivery (IPD); a collaborative approach that brought together BMC, TOCCI, Tsoi Kobus Design, and trade partners from the start. By sharing information early and often, the team was able to resolve challenges quickly and avoid costly delays.
Modular wall systems helped compress the construction schedule, but it was the team’s alignment—daily coordination, clear accountability, and mutual trust—that made the difference.
The project was completed two weeks ahead of schedule, with no compromise to quality or patient care.
