Interior Design Magazine awards Autodesk project “Best of the Year!”

Let us be the first to stand up and cheer as our Autodesk AEC Headquarters project wins Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year award in the Eco category!

This award is a testimonial to the amazing work done by our team partner on the project: KlingStubbins.

Our pals over at KlingStubbins had this to say about the award today:

“December 4, 2009 – Interior Design awarded KlingStubbins and Tocci Building Companies last night with one of four Merit Awards in the magazine’s fourth annual Best of the Year Awards ceremony, which was held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City. The award was presented in recognition of Autodesk’s AEC Headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Winners were chosen by Interior Design editor-in-chief Cindy Allen and a jury of design leaders will be featured in the December issue of the magazine.

The design solution expresses Autodesk’s mission by exposing and featuring the building systems. A three-story floor opening visually connects the activities among all floors and demonstrates the energy of the space to visitors. Open workspaces and glass conference rooms provide visual connection and encourage collaboration. Open ceilings expose the structural and mechanical systems as significant design features.

This has been a banner year for Autodesk’s AEC Headquarters. In addition to this award, the project has also earned Business Week / Architectural Record’s annual “Good Design is Good Business” award, a Building Information Modeling Award from the American Institute of Architects Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community, and an Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts’ Build Massachusetts Award.”
