John Tocci engages students with a lecture at Yale’s Architecture School

John Tocci delivered the final lecture and discussion for the Issues in Contemporary Practice class of graduating Masters in Architecture students attending Phil Bernstein’s popular lecture series at the Yale University School of Architecture on April 21st.

Tocci addressed the class on a number of fronts directly responding to student’s interests and questions, including Tocci’s use of VDC and BIM adoption, process transformation in the construction industry, how to improve relationships between architects and contractors, essential skills for successful collaboration with builders and an explanation of contractor’s financial risks and challenges which often drive relationships if not managed carefully.

…a builder gets the last shot at a group of bright young architects before they head out to change the world? – I wouldn’t miss it

John Tocci, CEO of Tocci

The two-hour class ended with lively discussion and excellent questions. – A fitting way to end a semester.
