TOCCI Welcomes Wayne Arruda and Cynthia Tocci

Boston, MA (01.24.2022) — TOCCI announces the hiring of Wayne Arruda and Cynthia Tocci.

Arruda, an industry veteran, will lead the company’s healthcare division. He joins TOCCI’s team with 35+ years of experience in planning and preconstruction, primarily in healthcare and education. In his role at TOCCI, Arruda will focus on specific initiatives in healthcare and life sciences to expand the company’s hospital and lab portfolio.

Arruda’s deep experience in suburban and downtown hospitals includes project strategy and complex problem solving, as well as providing senior leadership to his project teams. In addition to building teams, Arruda will contribute to business development efforts.

“Wayne is collaborative by nature,” says Jim Boucher, TOCCI’s Director of Operations. “Throughout his career he has overcome thousands of challenges to see jobs completed on time with the quality owners expect. He has also helped develop many aspiring young construction professionals.”

Wayne has a reputation in the building industry for his team-centered approach and creating solutions that benefit all parties. “There is always a way to please the client, and over time, I’ve been able to consistently make clients happy which always reflects well on the design team and builder,” said Arruda. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to bring my expertise in healthcare to the TOCCI team.”

Cynthia Tocci relocated from the west coast to join TOCCI’s Healthcare Financial Management Team. She brings over 30 years of experience in managing complex financial and accounting functions. In her role as Project Controller, she will work closely with project teams to develop and implement financial controls for the management, record keeping, reporting and compliance of various construction projects. Cynthia’s responsibilities will include maintaining accounting and internal control systems, along with serving as a subcontractor and vendor liaison.

In addition to her position as Project Controller, Cynthia is performing property and real estate management responsibilities for several entities and assisting with overall corporate accounting functions. “She loves a challenge, has an incredible amount of energy, and a ‘can do’ attitude,” comments CFO Paul Neenan. “When you combine that with her experience in real estate finance, she is an extremely valuable addition to our team.”

For her part, Cynthia is thrilled to have a purpose-filled job: “To be working for such a dynamic company, to be a part of such an impressive team, creating such remarkable product, has been a gift from God for which I’m most truly grateful.”
