Community

Com-mu-ni-ty [kuh-myoo-ni-tee]
A group whose members share common characteristics or interests and work together to further their progression.

As the adoption of VDC and BIM intensify, we are seeing the industry begin to act more like a community. We, at Tocci, recognize the importance (as well as the value!) of being both an active participant and a leader in the community. In some way, shape or form, we are involved in or collaborating with BIMForum, AGC (MA Chapter), 3xPT Task Force, CT3 Task Force, CURT, AIA (National), BSA and AISC (did we miss any of the acronyms?). The group that Tocci dedicates most of its resources to is the AGC’s BIMForum.

For information on Tocci’s involvement with and presentations to other organizations, see VDC News

BIMForum
BIMForum is the AGC’s task force on Building Information Modeling (BIM). John Tocci serves as the chairman of the BIMForum, and leads the diverse membership in its multitude of meetings, activities and projects. The BIMForum is made of 7 subforums that collaborate on a variety of relevant industry issues: workflow, contract language, academic curriculum, and software training).
