VP of Business Development

Tocci Building Corporation is looking for an extraordinary VP of Business Development to join our team. The Vice President Business Development will drive new business acquisition, diversification and growth. They will ensure client satisfaction. They will design market plans and sales strategies, then lead in executing them. This position manages the Business Development and Marketing Groups.


  • Create highly effective and innovative business development initiatives to increase volume
  • Develop annual business plans to achieve Company goals
  • Expand and improve CRM and related sales support systems
  • Identify market opportunities and coordinate with Marketing to create campaigns to win the work
  • Build strategic relationships with design, engineering and trade partners to find and acquire new work
  • Inspire staff at all levels to recognize, locate and capitalize on business development opportunities
  • Identify joint ventures/partnerships that enable the Company to expand market presence
  • Develop, “own” and present monthly and quarterly business projections and forecasts
  • Promote Tocci’s industry presence through publishing and speaking at client-rich events
  • Leverage social media, both personally and through an effective company-wide SM campaign
  • Hire, mentor, and review business development and marketing staff

  • Deep experience with CRM and Sales Management systems and methods
  • Knowledge and established connections with major building owners, developers, and designers
  • Bachelor of Science (preferred) in industry related field or advanced degrees in business or communications
  • Commitment to personal and professional continuous improvement
  • Experience: 10+ years’ experience in Greater Boston Real Estate and/or Construction Market
  • Membership in key real estate development, architectural and construction trade organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Focused on working at a high level and producing accurate and on time work
  • Desire to serve the needs and goals of the team
  • Strong ability in MS Office and CRM software
