Tufts BIM Symposium
Tocci recently held a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Symposium for Tufts University in Tocci’s Training and Colocation Center. Tufts University turned to Tocci to train project management, procurement, and facilities staff on the value and importance of BIM for campus management. The full-day event took place on Monday, August 13, 2012.
For the day, Tocci assembled both industry and internal experts to discuss the value of BIM for a university. Presenters included Chuck Mies, Autodesk; Gary Younger, Harvard University; Craig Dubler and Colleen Kasprzak, the Pennsylvania State University; and John Tocci and Pierce Reynoldson, Tocci.
“Tocci has a culture of learning that we strive to extend beyond our office doors,” said John Tocci, president and chief enabling officer. “When we share our experiences, along with those of experts outside the region, we believe we raise the bar another notch. We’re thrilled Tufts joined us today.”
Tocci recently provided a BIM implementation plan for Harvard University and has plans to roll out similar programs at additional Boston-area colleges and universities in the near future.
