About a Blog | CoolCalmConstructed
We are all aware of the impact social media has played in redefining and reshaping our cultural landscape. For the every day internet user, it would be hard to argue against the notion that the bulk of our time online is spent within the realms of some form of social media. Whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, message boards or even Wikipedia (a socially constructed database), it’s no secret that we connect digitally with our world and each other.
It comes as no surprise then that the business world would quickly come to realize the real potential that can be found in participating in the social media arena. To that end, we were delighted when the Boston Business Journal was interested in speaking with our very own Laura Handler about Tocci’s use of blogging and social media in their May 6th piece entitled “Social Skills”.
Laura addressed how blogging began at Tocci once we realized the glaring need to present BIM and virtual construction to social community from a builder’s perspective; a perspective absent from similarly themed blogs. From this initial idea, CoolCalmConstructed came to be. For five years we have been offering an open platform for discussion revolving around the AEC industry as a whole, dedicating posts to topics covering construction, emerging technologies, design and our internal processes.
We’d like to thank Boston Business Journal for the consideration and we hope to keep stirring up interest within the social building world for a long time to come.
